Frequntly Asked Questions
What is your approach to the day?
I approach each wedding with the utmost respect and with a firm understanding of the importance of this job. While I create a custom client experience that is specifically tailored to your unique vision, I want every couple to feel reassured that I will be there to ensure you feel comfortable, natural, and relaxed from start to finish.
What if we are uncomfortable in front of a camera?
Many people aren’t innately comfortable being photographed, so I pride myself on an easygoing and calm demeanor that helps even the most nervous client relax. I prioritize getting to know you as best I can before the wedding to better understand your feelings and how to serve you on that day.
What if we are overwhelmed and stressed about planning a wedding?
I am here to help! I understand that planning such a momentous day can feel overwhelming at times. However, your wedding photographer will be a breath of relief and one of the easier steps! My streamlined workflow and vast knowledge will help ease the process and make things as easy as possible.
When will our photographs be available for viewing?
The average turnaround time for weddings is 7-8 weeks. For digital images, please allow an additional 3-4 weeks for albums (not including album design consult). For portraits, the average turnaround time is 3-5 weeks.
Will you send us previews?
I pride myself on delivering previews within 36 hours of a wedding or event. There is no better feeling than receiving a few of the best moments while you’re still on cloud nine. Additionally, it gives you the ability to post a few professional shots right away, rather than settling for blurry iPhone shots from guests.
Do you provide albums and prints?
Yes! I partner with Indie Print Company to create beautiful, tangible representations of your day.
How do you deliver our photographs and album?
After sending your preview photos, the first stage of the process is the album design consult, which is then followed by the private online gallery. After both of those are complete, I send you the high-resolution images that are perfectly sized for printing. These will be loaded onto a USB and mailed directly to you.
What is the album design consult?
This is the first stage of image delivery. After the wedding, we choose the best images and discuss the ones that capture your most loved highlights of the day. Then, we create an album design which is sent to you in a slideshow format to review and customize. Upon receiving final approval, we send the album design to print and it will be delivered directly to you in 3-4 weeks!
What is a private online viewing gallery?
This is the second stage of image delivery. I upload all of the web-sized images to your own private gallery that is password protected, which you can share with anyone you wish. The gallery will contain all of the edited images separated by category to make going through your photos as easy as possible. You will be able to download and share images directly from this gallery.
Do you shoot with digital or film?
Both! I combine digital and film to ensure I capture your memories on the best medium possible based upon the specific situation of the day and your unique vision.
Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely! I love experiencing new cultures and always have my passport ready to go. During your initial inquiry, we will create a custom travel plan to best meet your needs.
Do you provide suggestions for portrait session locations?
I provide every client with a questionnaire, as well as speak with them over the phone, to learn and understand exactly what you are looking for. I am happy to provide suggestions for locations, but always recommend choosing a spot that has sentimental value, lots of natural light, and a combination of both adventure and fun.
Do you offer videography?
As a dedicated photographer, I do not offer videography services. However, I would be delighted to send recommendations for videographers that I trust and love working with.
